We are having a very warm winter this year. Some of you may even have peppers that have survived and overwintered. These plants should grow even bigger next year, and produce earlier!

We are also seeing some of our lettuce start to bolt! Something we have never seen at this time of year, Please be on the lookout for aphids, they may start to emerge very soon as we see an early warm up. If you see any, hit them with water to knock them off or a soap/water spray. Safer soap is always recommended, we like to use is Dr. Broners soap. The fact that it can be used to brush teeth gives us comfort to use on edible plants. It is critical to get ahead of the pests, or they will become a larger issue.

It is also key to try to stay on top of weeds before they go to seed. Now is the time for this as well!

We are growing here! It is one of our favorite times of the year. We are adding peppers, tomatillos, eggplant and our favorite lavender mint this spring! We hope to be ready by early March if the weather holds up.
